9 Favorite Kong Stuffing Recipes Your Dog Will Love
All dog lovers love Kongs because they keep dogs occupied and are safe for even the most powerful chewers. Add some yummy stuffing to your favorite chew toys and you’ve got a recipe for delighted contentment for your ever busy pooch.
Here are some of our favorite recipe ideas:
Pumpkin Pie Ingredients:
- ½ cup canned pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 2 large peanut butter dog biscuits (crushed)
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Split mixture between two Kongs and freeze.
Apple and Cheese Treat Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup kibble
- 1/2 cup apple sauce
- 1 TBS cottage cheese or cheese spread.
- Spread half the cottage cheese in the bottom of the Kong. Mix kibble and applesauce together and stuff into the Kong. Top off with cottage cheese and freeze.

Sweet Potato Bliss
- 1/2 cup kibble
- ¼ cup apple sauce
- ¼ cup cooked sweet potato, mashed
Spread half the sweet potato in the bottom of the Kong. Mix kibble and applesauce together and stuff into a Kong. Top off with remaining sweet potato. Freeze.
Liver and Carrot Treat
- 1/2 cup kibble
- 1/2 cup cooked pumpkin
- 1/4 cup chopped carrots
- 2 TBS dehydrated liver treats
- Mix all ingredients and stuff Kong.
Honey and Oat Treat Ingredients:
- ½ cup oat cereal
- 1 TBS peanut butter
- 1 tsp honey
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Stuff into the Kong and freeze.
Fruit Pops Ingredients:
- ½ cup chopped fresh fruit of your choice (peach, apple, watermelon, berries)
- ½ cup frozen yogurt
- Mix in bowl. Stuff Kong and freeze.
Nutty Banana Ingredients:
- 1 TBS peanut butter
- 1 banana
- 1 TBS plain yogurt
- Mix in bowl. Stuff Kong and freeze.
Eggs and cheese
- 1 scrambled egg
- 1 TBS cottage cheese
- Cook egg and cheese. Let cook and stuff in Kong.
Chicken Pot Pie
- ½ cup cooked chicken breast
- ¼ cup frozen, thawed peas and carrots
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- Mix well, stuff Kong and serve. Save remaining serving for the next day.
