How to measure your dog for a Fur Saver Collar:

Using a fabric tape measure, measure around the largest part of your dog's head, then add 2-3 inches. Select the fur saver size that is equal to or larger than this measurement. Fur Saver sizes are based on the overall length from the end of the ring to the end of the other ring.

The design of this training collar is quite simple. It is made up of a chain with 1/9 inches (3mm) link diameter and two O-rings with the Herm Sprenger quality stamp. One end ring has chain going through it, the other doesn’t. The end ring without the chain going through is the end for a leash attachment.

Smooth links effortlessly run through the O-rings creating a loop, which can be easily slipped over the dog's head; The collar acts as a choker when the leash is attached to the live O-ring; Attaching the leash to the dead ring transforms the choker into an ordinary neck collar.

Lightweight and electro-welded links offer strength and durability; Long links are well suitable for long and fine fur.

Size is not as advertised.

The collar is not 20 inches. It’s 19 inches across the large rings, but when you actually used it as designed, it’s probably 17-18 inches. Restrictions on returns meant I could not return them. I won’t use either company again. Thank you.

I hope you are doing well. We apologize that the collars did not work out for you. The sizes for the collars are pre-labeled by Herm Sprenger before they are sent to us. We do not label the sizes on the collars ourselves.

Regarding returning the collars, the only thing that we ask is that you return them with the tags.

Each bag that the collars came in had a label on it that said to save the tags in case of exchange or return. If you have the tags for the collars, we would be more than happy to take them back and issue you a refund.
